Goal for Work and Research
My goal is to improve human interaction with computer systems through empirical investigations of how computers are used and through explorations of innovative user interfaces.

* Aug. 1979-Jun. 1988: Public school at Duebrødre Skole, Roskilde.
* Aug. 1988-Aug. 1991: High school at Roskilde Katedral Skole, the mathematical-musical line.
BSc and MSc degrees:
* Sep. 1991-Aug. 1998: Studies in Computer Science, Philosophy, and Political Science at University of Copenhagen.
* Jan. 1997: Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science and Philosophy from University of Copenhagen.
* Aug. 1998: Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science from University of Copenhagen. Thesis title in Danish "Visualisering af Informationssøgning" (Visualization of Information Retrieval).
PhD degree:
* Nov. 1998 to Nov. 2001: PhD student in Human-Computer Interaction at Department of Computing, University of Copenhagen. Supervised by Erik Frøkjær. Thesis defended at DIKU on 18th May 2002, opponents were David Pisinger, Jock Mackinlay, and Peter Ingwersen.
